For the release of Jenna Paulette’s “Horseback,” Volt Creative turned the single into something fans could play. Horseback Runner is a fast arcade runner that works in any mobile or desktop browser, with no download needed. Players ride through dusty trails and open range, jump fences, tumbleweeds and cattle and pick up collectibles along the way.

The game was built to share. Quick sessions, score chasing and leaderboards / social sharing keep fans coming back, and built-in links send players straight to stream the single. Game design, art and development were all done in-house, pairing classic arcade mechanics with Western art that fits the song’s feel.

The game was launched with brand sponsor Justin Boots with the highest score winning a pair of their custom boots.
