We were approached by Tenacious D’s management team to build a digital advent calendar to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut record. The site would build anticipation by unlocking never before seen content behind each door for 25 days leading up to the anniversary. Unlocked features included photos, videos, merch drops, and a live AMA chat with the band.
THE SOLUTION
Using Javascript and CSS, we were able to update door images each day and bring the calendar to life with animation. We provided a scalable hosting platform to manage the high volume hits that we experienced each time a new piece of content was unlocked.
